How to Play

A secret code of 4 coloured pegs is generated each day. The pegs are chosen from 6 colours and colours can repeat.

You have up to 10 guesses to crack the code. Click each peg in the active row to cycle through the colours, then press Submit Guess.

Reading the feedback

After each guess, two numbers appear to the right of your row:

• First number (green) — how many pegs are the correct colour and in the correct position.
• Second number (amber) — how many pegs are the correct colour but in the wrong position.

The numbers don't tell you which pegs they correspond to — just the totals. Use them to narrow down the code over successive guesses.

Scoring

If you crack the code, your leaderboard score is the number of guesses — lower is better. Ties are broken by total time taken. If you use all 10 guesses without success, your result is recorded as DNF and appears below all successful solves.
